Diabetes in Focus website

A few years ago a good friend of mine who suffers Type 1 diabetes asked me to help out with the site and branding design for an Australian Diabetes portal he wanted to put together. This was my first dealings with the Joomla CMS.

I wasn't sure about the best way to create the design, my friend was going to put together in Joomla - a tool we were both newbies to.

In the end I created a couple of HTML pages for him to convert into the something that could be imported as a template.

After a lot of trial and error the site went live in 2009 and is still going strong today. It proved a good learning experience for the sites I now build in Joomla.
